We can’t help but let technology take over most of our lives. It makes life simpler and faster. But, sometimes that means we have to sacrifice the items we once loved. Many of us have already turned to e-readers and replaced tangibly bound books simply because they are more convenient. Unfortunately, some of us have also given up on designer watches because they can get the time on their cellphones or other electronic devices.
This is particularly of my generation, which tends to see items such as Tissot watches as archaic timepieces like the sundial. But I know, and you, the loyal readers know, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Yes there are many ways to tell the time, but watches aren’t just about telling time. They are a fashion statement and an accessory that can complete an outfit. They can even be a sign of status and power. After all, not everyone can afford a Rolex.
If you love your designer shoes and your designer shirt, why not throw in the Michael Kors watches too? A recent article revealed that as people move into their 30′s, they suddenly realize that wearing watches as fashion pieces isn’t all that bad. It’s cool and it’s hip; designer watches aren’t going anywhere!
